Applications will be evaluated on five criteria items: the problem/need, your solution, the target market, an explanation of any competition and unique advantages that you offer, and the overall quality of the application. A total of 24 finalists will be announced in mid-April and invited to compete in-person at the finals event that will be hosted at UW Oshkosh on Saturday, May 21st, 2022.

Rubric

Problem or Need (The problem or need is real, customer has significant pain or has large unfulfilled needs.)
Solution (Better, faster, cheaper, simple vs complex, quality, efficient, convenient, focused.)
Target Market (Target Market is large and/or growing, or is a high-priced niche. Customer is well-defined.)
Competition & Competitive Advantage (Direct vs. indirect competition, barriers to entry? Patents? Partnerships? Clearly superior.)
Quality of Application (Spent a considerable amount of time on the application. Well thought out responses.)
