Description
The Executive Summary is a written business summary, in PDF format, including details of how the business intends to operate. An executive summary is similar to a business plan, but usually shorter, covering much of the same information in summarization.
Guidelines & information

Specific Requirements:

  • No longer than three pages.
  • At least 10-point font.
  • At least .75-inch margins on all four sides.
  • Must be submitted in PDF format.
  • All submitted work must be the original work of the members of the business (entrepreneurs and/or mentors).
  • Any submission that does not meet these requirements will be disqualified from the Executive Summary component.

The submitted Executive Summary must cover the following general aspects of the business:

  • Market Opportunity
  • Business Model
  • Management Capability
  • Product/Service Offering

Business Description: Communicates a clear understanding of what the business is? - Where is the business located? - What problem are they solving? - Benefit to the customer - Legal structure of the business
Management- Team members and their responsibilities - What experience and talents do they bring to the team? - What are the anticipated personnel needs now and in the future?
Business Model: Has the business developed a realistic plan to grow a profitable business or does the business seem unrealistic or flawed?
Market: What methods will the business use to advertise? If they are using social media which platform and why? Is there a demand for this type of business? - What sets this business apart from the competition?
Finance- Did the business plan include accurate and realistic startup costs, projected revenue, and monthly/annual cash flow? Or are significant cost categories missing or revenue numbers unrealistic and inflated?
