Description

Pittsburg State University is excited to host the first-ever Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) Eastern Kansas Wildcard Competition! This event is for middle school or high school students (grades 6-12) who did not move on to the state YEC competition or who did not have a chance to compete in a local YEC event. Students who attend will also get to tour the beautiful Pittsburg State University campus.

This competition is open to public, private, and homeschool high school students.

Since this is our first year, only the first 50 student businesses to register will be accepted. Registration is first come, first served.

This wildcard competition is all about finding one amazing young entrepreneur who is ready for another chance to compete at the state level.

Students will have the chance to win prize money and scholarships.

The event will also be open to the public, who will vote for the best trade show display.

Important Eligibility Note

Students who have already earned a spot at the state competition are not eligible to compete in this event.
