2025-2026 Rooks County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge

The Rooks County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) is a fun, exciting and competitive event, open to all Rooks County students grades 7-12 to showcase their inner entrepreneur and million dollar idea.  Individuals or small teams have to create an imaginary but possible business that could, if started, make a profit.   Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 finishers and for various other categories.  At total of at least $1,500 in cash prizes will be awarded.  

The competition will be held at Plainville High School Cardinal Gym on February 25, 2026 beginning at 9 a.m.  Students should arrive at 8:30 a.m. to set up for the Tradeshow Displays. 

Businesses must register for the competition on the www.goventuredash.com website by 5 p.m. on January 16, 2026.  Executive Summaries are due online no later than February 10, 2026.
