Description

The Shocker New Venture Competition at Wichita State University provides a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative business ideas. The focus of the competition is on fostering creativity, originality, and feasibility of business ideas. Participants go through various rounds of presentations, refining their pitches along the way. This competition plays a vital role in cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit within the university community and contributes to the growth of innovative startups in Wichita.

Schedule and key dates

March 28: Applications, including 3-minute video are due and Round #1 commences
March 29 thru April 4: Judging of Business Model Videos
April 5: Round #1 results announced
April 11: Required Workshop for teams advancing to the Trade Show
April 26: Trade Show and Finals
