The Video Pitch is a short overview of an entrepreneurs' business plan to interested business executives. The goal of the Video pitch should be to make a persuasive and compelling case during your plan overview that links each piece coherently and leaves the audience excited to learn more.

Student Instructions (Example)
The Video Pitch competition is a 90 sec up to 2-minute pitch about your idea for a product or business. Be persuasive and compelling to the judges by answering the following questions: 
  • What is the need, problem, or opportunity that your product or business addresses? 
  • What is your idea? 
  • Who do you assume to be your target customers? 
  • Where or how did the idea come to you? 
  • Why is your product or business different or better than the competition? 
  • What are your business goals? 

Video Pitch Competition Process (Example)
1.    Following receipt of judges feedback from the Exec Summary, make any changes or developments to your business plan. Develop a script for your video pitch, refine the script based on answering the six questions within the allotted time. Then, practice, meet the standard, and record the video pitch; Upload the pitch by the 1 MAR noon (Monday) deadline.
2.    Student gets up to 30 seconds to enter the room and introduce themselves. No handouts, no PowerPoint, and no computer presentation are permitted.
3.    Student has 90 Secs-2 minutes to make their pitch.
4.    Judges will not ask questions.
