Description
This local competition will feature the students of Mrs. Duff's Entrepreneurship Class at Scott Community High School. The required elements to compete (and receive a grade) are a written Executive Summary summited no later than Midnight December 11, 2020 AND a 4-Minute Presentation to be delivered to judges on December 17, 2020.
The reward for the diligence and effort expended is WORTH CASH!! The student who wins the local competition will earn $1,000 in cash. The Runner-up will earn $500.00!! The Winner will then represent Scott City at the State Competition (whether in Manhattan or virtual) in April 2021. The winner will also have the benefit of assistance from mentors to refine their Executive Summary and Presentation/Mock Boardroom for the State Competition.
Sponsors for this competition include Network Kansas, Scott County Development Committee and Scott Community Foundation.

Schedule and key dates
December 11, 2020 (Midnight) - Executive Summary uploaded (follow the recommendations on page 25 of the YEC Guide)
Students will come to school as usual. Mrs. Duff will have assigned each student with a 15-minute time slot for delivering the presentation and Judges' Q & A. Students should arrive at the Media room in the SCHS library five minutes prior to their assigned time slot.
Students should be dressed in business attire on December 17.
