Students will prepare a tradeshow booth and elevator pitch describing their business to share with fellow students, teachers and community members.  Three judges will score their perspective of booth neatness in appearance, how clearly they describe their business, their personal appearance and how poised each entrepreneur appears.  Each fellow student, teacher or community member is encouraged to cast a vote for their favorite!

Security State Bank is sponsoring this event very graciously by providing the PRIZE MONEY of $500!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH to our friends and supporters at Security State Bank!!
$250 - First Place
$150 - Second Place

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Due by Midnight February 29 , 2024
(uploaded to VentureDash)
Students will reduce their business concept to two pages of details covering their business plan with start-up costs, projected income and expenses and how they will market their business successfully.  Executive Summaries will be judged by two or three unique judges.  Those who write the most believable Executive Summary often win this component of the YE competition.

SCDC, through its partner NETWORK KANSAS provides prize money for the TWO highest scoring contestants.
$250 - First Place
$150 - Second Place

4-MINUTE PRESENTATION
Tuesday, March 5, 2024
Students culminate their hard work and research by giving a 4-minute presentation to three DIFFERENT judges in a boardroom setting.  They will use visual aids (Canva, PowerPoint, etc) and articulate the details of their business venture in a compelling way.  They dress professionally and try to convey their enthusiasm about why they want to start their business!  It's an energetic way to finalize the competition.  Judges scores also determine placement of contestants.

SCDC, through its partner NETWORK KANSAS provides prize money for the TWO highest scoring contestants.
$250 - First Place
$150 - Second Place

Scores are then tabulated for the overall winners!!
$1,000 - Overall Winner (represents SCHS in Manhattan)

$350 - Third Place
(other contestants will receive Chamber Bucks for their efforts - because everyone in the YE class works diligently!)
